    Whether you are learning about Cisco Live for the first time or just registered and don’t know what to do next, read below for first-time attendee to-do’s and tips from past attendees to get you started.


    First-time attendee? Here’s your to-do list:


    • Convince your boss! Download the attendee proposal letter.
    • Register for your Main Conference Pass or IT Management Pass.
    • Book your hotel and travel – Take advantage of our special discounted rates for attendees.
    • Create your schedule to get the sessions you want – Don’t wait to build your on-site agenda. Study the session types and technology tracks on offer, then book your sessions in Schedule Builder.
    • Sign up for a Technical Seminar which takes place on Monday, February 20 (priced in addition to your Main Conference Pass).
    • View sessions from previous events – Catch-up with on-demand content that interests you from previous Cisco Live events.
    • Connect with others attending the event on social media – Expand your professional network before your trip using your favourite social media channel, then meet your new colleagues onsite.


    Tips from past attendees:


    • Wear comfortable shoes! – It can be tough to master advanced networking concepts when your feet hurt.
    • Bring a portable power strip – It’s easier to plug in to the energy of Cisco Live when it’s easy to plug in your mobile devices.
    • Follow @CiscoLiveEurope and #CLEUR on Twitter – Come to the event armed with the latest updates.
    • Book sessions and labs early. They fill up quickly. – The early bird gets the seat.
    • Read the title AND the abstract of the sessions – Be sure that the topics you are looking for are really in there!
    • Tweak your schedule onsite – Plans change. Keep it flexible. Find out what interests you and build your week around it. It’s your conference. Attend it your way.
    • Check your transportation options – Make sure to have adequate time to get on site the first day, or do a trial run the day before.
    • Don’t forget to pick up your official Cisco Live t-shirt – It’s the must-have fashion statement of today’s top IT professionals (available from February 23).


    Join Us On Spark*


    We are hosting a Cisco Spark room for those attending Cisco Live for the first time. You can use this as a place to connect with other new attendees before arriving onsite. The Cisco Live team will also be active in the room so you can use this as a resource to post questions. Click here to be added to the Spark Room for First Time @ Cisco Live Berlin.


    *By joining a Spark room you agree to your email address being used to join and it will be visible to other users in the room. You can remove yourself from the Spark Room at any time should you wish, however to be added you must contact the Spark room administrator.


    If you opt into the Spark room through the survey and are already a Spark user you will be automatically added to the room. If you are not already using Spark you will receive an email with instructions to install Spark on your device, follow these instructions to create your own account. The process of registration will take about 2 minutes. Once you are registered you will be able to access the Spark Room for First Time @ Cisco Live. If you don’t receive an email, you can download Spark here. If you have questions regarding Spark, please contact support@ciscospark.com.

    Cisco Live Orientation Tours


    We will be conducting Orientation Tours of the Cisco Live venue on Monday, February 20. Our knowledgeable guide will walk you around the areas within Cisco Live, so that you can easily find what you need for the rest of the week, and maybe surprise you with some activities that you didn’t know about!


    Tours will take approximately 45 minutes and leave from the Information Point in the Main Entrance at:

    • 13:15
    • 15:30
    • 17:30


    There is no need to book, just arrive a few minutes before the tour is due to start.
