• Meet The Team

    Events the size of Cisco Live are only possible with the collaboration and efforts of people – our most important asset. Below is an introduction to the people in our core team.

    Bonny Shapira

    Bonny is the Cisco Live lead. He joined the Cisco Live team just after the conclusion of Cisco Live 2012, making the 2017 event his fifth Cisco Live. Bonny’s responsibilities lie in the overall vision, strategy and program management. It is his job to make it all happen and connect with Cisco’s overall vision and strategy. He is also responsible for the content program management, leading a team of Cisco professionals responsible for the selection and creation of the educational sessions (breakouts, techtorials, panels, case studies) and for the Cisco Campus, bringing Cisco’s latest innovations and solutions together under a unified experience area. Bonny is passionate about swimming, Spanish and Negronis.

    Joanne Fielding

    Joanne is the Cisco Live Program Manager responsible for the overall operations. Joanne joined the Cisco Live team in 2009 working as a Project Manager on the Bahrain Event. In 2011, she joined Cisco Live Europe. Joanne has worked on all aspects of Cisco Live and manages the event through its life cycle, bringing the participant experience to life. She enjoys watching Cisco Live develop and change year on year. Joanne loves spending time with her two children and travelling.

    Remco Kamerman

    Remco started his Cisco career in 1999 as an intern in the IT department, the year of the Y2K Bug. The team also supported the big events, which Cisco hosted across Europe. This is how he came in contact with Networkers, which has now evolved into Cisco Live. In 2008 he moved into the Events Team to work full time on events and demonstrations. Remco continues to organize events in his private life, such as local tennis tournaments.

    Stine Kruse-Birch

    Stine is our Cisco Live Marketing & Communications Manager, responsible for demand generation, communications, field engagement, and social media. She joined the EMEAR Events team in 2014, but has been with Cisco since 2005 and has worked in various marketing roles in the Denmark and North marketing teams. She is passionate about storytelling, photography and crafts and loves to travel. She calls Colorado her home away from home.

    Heidi Dorrepaal

    Heidi is the Cisco Live Registration Manager and is responsible for the management of the event registration process from pre to post-event. Heidi is passionate about her work and has over 15 years Global Event Management experience. She joined Cisco in 2008 as part of the Cisco Global Events team and has worked on Cisco Live in many different capacities including Logistics Lead for Networkers Bahrain and Housing Manager for Cisco Live London & Milan. Heidi is a mum of two small children and loves spending time with them in the outdoors and whenever she gets the opportunity travels to new and exciting places across the world.

    Xènia Lecha

    A Barcelona native, Xènia joined Cisco as an Enterprise AM in 2005 and later took on a business development role within the EBG team, where among other responsibilities she ran TA Live before moving to EMEAR Events full time earlier this year. Coming from an engineering background, she enjoyed her first Networkers so much she knew she wanted to become part of the Cisco Live core team one day. In 2015 she drove her first IT Management program in Milan and is still up for many more. When she’s not running after her two sons and her little daughter she loves to hit the ice for figure skating practice, travel, reread Harry Potter and binge watch Star Wars.

    Caroline Watson

    Caroline joined Cisco and the EMEAR Events team in July 2016. She is responsible for developing and nurturing Cisco’s partner relationships relating to Cisco Live. Caroline has held various senior marketing and communication roles within the IT and defense industry and even after more 20 years is still passionate about her work! When she’s not busy at work she spends her time playing golf, running with her husband Tim and their Labrador Max, and making and icing celebration cakes for friends and family.

    Trish Pomeroy

    Trish is our Cisco Live Customer and Partner Events Manager, running all our auxiliary activities such as Academy Day and the Women’s Connected Lunch. This will be Trish’s 10th year working on Cisco Live in EMEAR, and she is still inspired by the people and passion that make Cisco Live such a success. In her spare time Trish loves skiing, cooking and yoga.

    Hannah Rees

    Making up part of the events operation team, Hannah is responsible for the DevNet Zone, The Enterprise Network Innovation Centre and the Executive Program. Hannah was part of the original events team at Cisco when Cisco Live was known as Networkers. She is excited about the developments and innovations at Cisco Live, really enjoyed being part of the team again in 2016 and is looking forward to another great Cisco Live in 2017. Since Networkers she has managed a vast array of programs, gaining experience and skills in all aspects of events both within Cisco and other industries. When she has time, Hannah loves sailing and windsurfing and is still trying to run 10K in under 55 minutes.

    Natalia Nikiforenko

    Natalia joined the EMEAR Events team in December 2015 but has been with Cisco for 6 years successfully driving Cisco Connect in Russia and CIS countries as well as working on an online community called Cisco Expo Learning Club. Natalia has become part of the Cisco Live team responsible for the participant journey and gamification. She loves composing music, arts and travelling.

    Gunay Oksar

    Gunay joined the Cisco EMEAR Events team in early 2016 but he has been working for Cisco since 2011. Gunay is responsible for the Lead Management process for Cisco Live. Gunay is a technology enthusiast and is passionate about adapting event technologies for a great customer experience and sales pipeline creation. Gunay is passionate about his football team and blogging about Apple products on his iphoneturka.com website.
