Keynotes

The Keynotes will provide an overview on the direction of Cisco and the industry. You’ll hear about what’s on the horizon for Cisco solutions and the potential impact on your business. You’ll get a better understanding of how emerging trends will affect network and communication technology, which can help you adopt a more informed and proactive approach toward deciding your own IT priorities and business objectives.

Breakout Sessions

At Cisco Live 2014 you can choose from over 200 breakout sessions which are organised into distinct tracks incorporating core technology education and delivered by Cisco Engineers. Sessions are 90 minutes and 120 minutes in duration and cover all levels from beginners to advanced.

Case Studies

Learn how other customers and Cisco itself are deploying Cisco technologies and solutions (both for customers and internally). The objective is to share lessons learned, best practices, and possibly even pain points and suggested enhancements for the future. These sessions will provide an overview about a project, the projects objectives, the proposed design and implementation details.

Case Studies are presented either by the customer, partner or Cisco itself. As every project is unique, so are the Case Studies – don’t miss the opportunity to learn from your peers in the industry.

Labs

Get direct, hands-on experience in a lab session. Offering four hour, instructor led bookable labs as well as 45 minute walk-in-labs, each lab session is designed to be self-paced with mentors available to provide guidance and answer your questions. Each student will have their own pod of equipment on which to work.

Meet The Engineer

Cisco Live’s Meet the Engineer sessions allow you to connect with the people who design and develop Cisco solutions through bookable and ad-hoc face-to-face meetings, so you can get their perspective on the best approach to your unique challenges. It’s your opportunity to find out why Cisco solutions work the way they do – and to get fresh insight into how you can put those solutions to work in your own business to maximise efficiency and extend your network’s capabilities.

Technical Solutions Clinics

Join Cisco experts who spend their days troubleshooting implementation, application, and integration issues for clients in a whiteboard discussion focused on your specific network challenges.

These informal whiteboard discussions allow you to explain your situation in detail to a Technical Community Advocate (TAC) or other qualified Cisco representative and get their take on the best approach, with suggestions for solutions you may not have considered.

Technical Seminars

(pre-conference only – Monday, January 27, 2014)

Technical Seminars are a comprehensive half day or full-day tutorial seminar, addressing a variety of technology areas. Each Technical Seminar includes design principles based on case studies and best practices. Some sessions also cover advanced concepts and future technologies.

Our four-hour and eight-hour Technical Seminars are appropriate for anyone interested in a comprehensive overview of one technology or application and are designed to complement the Technology Breakout Sessions available throughout Cisco Live 2014.

Panels

Sometimes the best way to learn about new technologies is through an open discussion that includes different perspectives. Panel discussions give you the opportunity to hear a wide range of views on important topics from people inside and outside Cisco — including other vendors, customers, and industry experts.

Cisco Lives’ panel discussion format focuses on the big-picture concepts and ideas that promise to transform the way we communicate and collaborate.

Cisco Certification Testing

Cisco certifications are highly respected IT certifications that bring valuable, measurable rewards to network professionals, their managers, and the organisations that employ them. Cisco offers five levels of career certifications: Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert, and Architect as well as Specialist certifications that enhance core networking knowledge in specific technologies.
