Craig Hill is a Distinguished Systems Engineer with Cisco Systems for over 16 years, working on the U.S. Federal team. His focus for the past 11 years has been on a variety of IP core/SP technologies and architectures, specifically in applying them to the DOD, Intelligence, and Enterprise space. Current areas of technical focus include IP/MPLS, network virtualization over IP/MPLS, high availability and convergence, Carrier Ethernet, QoS, and a recent focus on data center interconnections and design. His recent architecture focus has been on transitioning large customer backbone networks from ATM to IP/MPLS/Ethernet, specifically in secure government networks where customized encryption is required.
Craig holds and Electrical Engineering degree from Capitol College, and has been a CCIE (#1628) in Routing and Switching since October of 1995. He is based out of the Cisco office in Herndon, VA. His Twitter handle is: @netwrkr95.
