Gonzalo Salgueiro, CCIE® No. 4541, is the coauthor of the book “Fax, Modem, and Text for IP Telephony”. Gonzalo currently works as a senior escalation engineer supporting voice and fax over IP technologies at the Cisco Systems Technical Assistance Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Over the last 14+ years at Cisco he has specialized in troubleshooting complex issues for some of the largest VoIP networks as well as providing technical leadership for some of the most critical worldwide voice and fax deployments. In addition to his role as  UC escalation engineer, Gonzalo holds key industry leadership positions and is an active contributor to various standard development organizations, including the ITU-T and the IETF.  Gonzalo has developed and delivered all levels of training and documentation on these technologies both internally to Cisco technical teams and externally to Cisco customers worldwide. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Jacksonville University and an M.S. in Physics from the University of Miami. Gonzalo Salgueiro is co-author of the book “Fax, Modem, and Text for IP Telephony”.
