Cisco Live Terms & Conditions (“Release”)

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I understand that participation in the Event may carry with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary from one activity to another, but the risks range from 1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains; 2) major injuries such as eye injuries or loss of sight, joint or back injuries, heart attacks, and concussions; and 3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death.

I have read and understand the previous paragraph. I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in the Event. I hereby assert that my participation in the Event is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all such risks of injury, illness, death or other loss arising from or related to my participation in the Event.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Consistent with the above assumption of risk and to the fullest extent allowable by law, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives, executors and assigns, hereby release, waive, forever discharge, and covenant not to sue Sponsor, its affiliates, vendors, agents and contractors and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents from any and all manner of claims (including, but not limited to individual or class action claims, claims for monetary or equitable relief and claims for actual or punitive damages), demands, actions, causes of action, liability, and damages of any kind whatsoever, including but not limited to claims arising out of, based upon or related to the actual or alleged negligence or reckless misconduct (“Claims”) of Sponsor, its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, and attorneys, resulting in personal injury, accidents, or illnesses (including death) and property loss arising from, related to or in connection with participation in the Event. I understand that this release shall be binding upon my heirs, personal representatives, executors and assigns. Nothing in this Release shall limit Sponsor’s liability (1) for personal injury or death caused by its negligence, (2) in the tort of deceit, (3) any breach of the obligations implied by section 12 Sale of Goods Act 1979 or section 2 Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 or (4) which cannot be excluded under applicable law.

SEVERABILITY: I further expressly agree that the foregoing waiver and assumption of risk agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of England and Wales and that if any portion is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

I hereby grant to the Sponsor and its authorized representatives the absolute right and permission to use my name, likeness, biographical information, voice, content of any interview, image and/or photograph and any other indicia of persona (“Persona”) or to refrain from doing so, in any manner or media whether existing now or hereinafter developed (including without limitation the World Wide Web and the Internet), worldwide, for trade, advertising and/or promotional purposes. I agree I shall have no rights of review or approval, no Claim to compensation, and no Claim arising out of or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) or use in any composite form of my Persona and agree to release and hold Sponsor and its authorized representatives harmless for any and all such use(s).
