BRKRST-2121 - Intermediate - Self Learning Networks (2015 Milan) - 90 Mins

Session Description

In today’s fast-evolving world where application characteristics keep changing, traffic matrices evolve rapidly and networks’ scale grows exponentially, next-generation networks will combine advanced networking technologies with network analytics – a true paradigm shift called “Self -Learning Networks (SLN)”. SLN makes use of a massively distributed analytics architecture that allows the network to dynamically learn thus handling a number of complex tasks, and in particular related to Security. These include  detection and mitigation of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks but also a broad range of Anomaly Detection issues at the network edge, among others. In this session, the architecture and several fundamental functional elements will be introduced, along with some key use cases.
