Network to Light

There’s never been a better time to make your footsteps count!  Join us in generating energy through kinetic tiles and reaching our goal of 1 million steps.

There will be multiple kinetic tile areas around Cisco Live that attendees will be encouraged to visit.  By participating in our “Network to Light” activations onsite, attendees can track their steps and see how much energy they are personally creating, simply by walking over the tiles.  All of the energy harnessed through the kinetic tiles at Cisco Live will then be donated to schools in Nepal.

Cisco Live’s goal is 1 million steps.  The energy created by attendees at Cisco Live will be donated to schools in Nepal.

Educational benefits of school electrification:

  • Outperform non-electrified schools on key educational indicators
  • Enable broader social and economic development of communities
  • Access facilitates the introduction of ICTs into the classroom
  • Allows the access of lower-income people to lighting and communication, as well as a variety of educational delivery opportunities reducing illiteracy

The Multiplier Effect

The Multiplier Effect is built on one bold idea: leveraging the power of sponsorship to change the diversity equation in the Tech Industry.

The Multiplier Effect is about leaders making a personal commitment to be an advocate for a diverse candidate. A mentor is someone in an advisor role. Sponsorship is more personal and accountable. It comes with true ownership of making a change for someone.
