The Social Media Hub

At Cisco Live’s Social Media Hub in the Moscone South Lobby, you can connect with your fellow social media mavens, recharge your batteries, and show off your old-school engineering skills by building something creative with Legos. Check the social media screens for the latest highlights, including your social updates and leaderboard status, and learn about all of your social media gaming opportunities. Or just hang with your colleagues. It’s all good.

One of the best parts of attending Cisco Live is that you get to connect with our on-site social media staff in person.  Stop by and talk with us, provide your suggestions – we love hearing from you online and in person.  Get up to speed on all of the social gaming opportunities available to you during the event.  We don’t want you to miss out on the fun or the prize opportunities.

Don’t forget: Join in the arrival Tweetup on Sunday at 5:30, the farewell Tweetup on Thursday, and schedule your own Tweetups in between.

#IoEContest

If you could connect anything to the Internet, what would it be and what would it do? Use your creativity and social media to illustrate inventive connections to the Internet of Everything (IoE).

Steps to Enter the Contest:

  1. Take a photo of an object that you think could be connected to the Internet. For instance, think about how a coffee cup may connect to the Internet.
  2. Post your photo and a brief tagline on your preferred social channel: Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. The tagline is a sentence demonstrating how connecting the object to the Internet would benefit you (for example, “This coffee cup can tell the grocery store when I’ll need my next order of coffee beans”).
  3. Include the hashtags #IoEContest and #InternetofEverything in your posting. This will help us track your submission. Entries will be accepted until July 31, 2014, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
