Our activities tie into Cisco’s Corporate Social Responsibility priorities and our goal to positively impact 1 billion people by 2025.

Social Impact Zone

The Social Impact Zone at Cisco Live is your opportunity to give back to the local Orlando community. On Monday & Tuesday, you can build pi-top modular laptops powered by the Raspberry Pi, which will be donated to NetAcad students. Come back on Wednesday & Thursday, and contribute to our goal of assembling 10,000 Clean the World hygiene kits that will be donated to the local community.

pi-top is an award-winning ecosystem designed to make experimenting, coding and building electronics, simple, affordable and fun. In Orlando, attendees will have the opportunity to build modular laptops powered by the Raspberry Pi in our Social Impact Zone. At the end of the week, the pi-tops will be donated to local NetAcad students providing a transformative learning experience and empowering students to become collaborative, critical and creative thinkers.

Clean the World

Clean the World’s mission is to reduce the waste created by discarded soap and shampoo products, and prevent the millions of deaths by hygiene related illnesses every year. In partnership with Clean the World, Cisco Live set a goal to assemble 10,000 kits that include soap, shampoo, and other hygiene items that will be donated to the local community in Orlando.  A portion of these kits will be specifically for women and children affected by recent natural disasters in the area.
